Fashion designer, Garavani Valentino opened his first studio in Rome 1959. By 1967, Valentino is awarded the Neiman Marcus Prize in Dallas (equivalent of an Oscar in the world of Fashion). His designer 'V' label got its magical reputation when Jacqueline Kennedy wore his designer wedding dress for her marraige to Aristotle Onassis. The 70's launched Valentino's 'Ready-to-wear'
